All Day Racing Tour

Tour departs from the Museum reception at 9.00am

The All Day Tour is one of our best selling tours. The comprehensive schedule includes a morning visit to the world famous Nemarket Heath training grounds to see racehorses in their work. It is then off to a trainer's yard to meet the horses and staff behind the scenes of this international industry and national passion. Finally, there is a historic tour of the town before returning to the Museum for a coffee and time to explore the stories of racing in the galleries. The 2012 special exhibition celebrates the royal connections with racing and its roots in Newmarket at Palace House.

In the afternoon it is off to the races with an expert guide to help you find a winner or two. Transport is included all day.

The price includes entry to the Premier enclosure except on feature days marked with an asterix* where Grandstand Enclosure tickets will be supplied . Upgrades are easily available at the racecourse office.

(dress code: smart casual).

2012 testimonials:

" I was on the all day racing tour on 2000 Guineas day and I would be grateful if you could pass on our appreciation to Paul Winter who led the day. As a keen racing fan I found the day both interesting and informative and is something I would be happy to recommend."      Richard L

"I am emailing to thank Paul for making the all day racing tour on 2000 Guineas day so memorable. He explained every aspect of the tour in a manner that was easily understandable to newcomers whilst still making it enjoyable for those who had a more in depth knowledge. There was nothing that was too much trouble for him. Having attended most racecourses over the last 47 years I thought that for my first visit to Newmarket races I would try something different and I am glad that I did."                                         Andrew from Staffordshire.
