Racehorse Simulator Rides
Every admission ticket purchased for
the National Horseracing Museum & the Vestey Gallery of the British
Sporting Art Trust will qualify for one complimentary ticket to ride the
horseracing simulator in the Practical Gallery. This ticket must be handed in
to the Gallery Attendant before riding the simulator.
Each ticket entitles the bearer to one
ride (up to a maximum of 5 minutes).
Single use Tickets to ride the
simulator do not have to be used on the first visit to the museum and are
transferable.
On subsequent visits a simulator ticket
can be purchased at an individual rate of £3 per person per 5 minute ride.
Single use tickets to ride the
simulator cannot be purchased without either first purchasing an entry ticket
to the museum or showing a valid Annual Pass.
Simulator Season Tickets
An annual Season Ticket for the
horseracing simulator is available at a cost of £35. This ticket is in the form
of an individual photo-card which must be completed with the bearer's name,
address and signature as well as a passport sized photograph. It is valid for
12 months from the date of purchase and must be fully validated by bearing a
NHRM date stamp.
Simulator Season Tickets entitle the
bearer to unlimited rides on the horseracing simulator (when the galleries are
ordinarily open to the public) – each ride is limited to a maximum of 5
minutes.
Season Ticket holders do not qualify
for priority use and on entering the Practical Gallery must wait until in the
judgement of the Practical Gallery Attendant it is their turn. On completing
the maximum 5 minute ride, the Season Ticket holder will be asked to vacate the
simulator and may if so minded join the queue for another ride in strict order.
If there are no other users, the Practical Gallery Attendant may still require
the Season Ticket holder to wait for up to 10 minutes before commencing another
ride.
The Practical Gallery Attendant may at
any time suspend any session on the simulator without recourse to an
explanation if in their judgement it is necessary for the safe operation of
equipment.
Simulator Season Tickets are NOT
TRANSFERABLE. The NHRM reserves the right to cancel a Season Ticket if it has
reasonable grounds to believe that the bearer is not the individual named on
the card. NHRM reserves the right to request additional proof of identity.
Simulator Season Tickets may be
replaced if lost but an administration fee of £10 will be charged in all
circumstances.
