George Denholm Armour: A life illustrated

The museum is grateful to have been loaned a collection of original George Denholm Armour drawings and watercolours dating from the 1870s until the 1930s. Exhibition runs from 1st June - 28th November.

Mud, Sweat and Tears: A history of Jump Racing

This exhibition explores the excitement and unpredictability of Jump Racing from its 18th century origins in Ireland to the modern day. Exhibition runs from 10th July - 5th December.

Curator Led Tour

Join Packard Curator, Dr Alexandra Fletcher, at 10:15am every Friday, from 27th August until 3rd December, for a tour of our special exhibition, Mud, Sweat and Tears: A history of Jump Racing. 

#WeAreNewmarket – Community Art Workshops

Join artists in residence Keith Hopewell and Nikki Goldup in a fun and creative workshop to make a giant piece of community art. Free drop-in events on 27 October 10am - 1pm, 29 October 1pm – 4pm and 20 November 10am – 1pm.

Family Friendly Fright Night at the Museum

We’re inviting families and young children to dress up and join us at Palace House this Halloween! Take a tour by torchlight and watch history come alive, meet the ghosts of Charles II and his housekeeper, and join us on a witch hunt! 4pm - 6pm Thursday, 28th and Friday, 29th October.

Horseback Falconry

We are delighted to welcome The Recycled Racehorse Falconry Team to the museum on Saturday, 26th March 2022. The team works in teaching, display work and field falconry, and have the only horses in the country that work with Golden eagles. The display will be fast, informative, educational and entertaining!
