The Urban Frame: Mutiny In Colour

The National Horseracing Museum is one of three West Suffolk venues to host what will be one of the largest contemporary art exhibition in the UK this year.

The Urban Frame: Mutiny in Colour will run simultaneously across three locations in West Suffolk (the National Horseracing Museum, Newmarket, Moyse’s Hall Museum, Bury St Edmunds and Haverhill Arts Centre) during the summer of 2023.

Organised in association with Brandler Galleries, the exhibition at the National Horseracing Museum will host over 50 works from some of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists including Banksy, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, the Connor Brothers, STIK, Blek Le Rat, Pure Evil, My Dog Sighs, Kaws, Sherlock, Swoon, Ben Eine, Bambi, Hush and Lamont White.

Alongside, the Museum is also hosting The 7: Banksy Under Siege. This collection of  replica life-size “walls” created by Banksy during his visit to war torn Ukraine in November 2022, form a spectacular art installation. Accompanied by an audio narrative, this is the first time the exhibition has been seen anywhere in the world!

In another world exclusive, from 25th July, the exhibition will incorporate ‘Love is in the Air’ – one of Banksy’s most famous works. Generously, loaned to the Museum by The Particle Foundation. Find out more here.

For those who may not be able to attend during the day, there are a number of Friday evenings when the exhibition will be open from 6 pm to 8 pm. For more details, click here.

In addition, on Friday 29th, Saturday 30th September and Sunday 1st October there will be a Guided Tour of the exhibition at 11am, included within the ticket price (no need to book).
