Lucy Kemp-Welch: Her Private World

This exhibition has closed.

This exhibition is the first opportunity to see a private album of drawings by the renowned equine artist Lucy Kemp-Welch.

Best-known for her illustrations for the 1915 edition of Black Beauty, Lucy Kemp-Welch was meticulous in her depictions of horses.

This album of drawings and studies was a gift to her cousin and has never been seen in public before. The exquisite drawings and studies show the inner working of her mind and give us a rare insight into her world.
