Lucy Kemp-Welch: Her Private World

This exhibition is the first opportunity to see a private album of drawings by the renowned equine artist Lucy Kemp-Welch. Best-known for her illustrations for the 1915 edition of Black Beauty, Lucy Kemp-Welch was meticulous in her depictions of horses. This album of drawings and studies was a gift to her cousin and has never been seen in public before. The exquisite drawings and studies show the inner working of her mind and give us a rare insight into her world.

Admission to the exhibition is included in general admission, giving you access to all areas including the National Horse Racing Museum, Palace House, and the Rothschild Yard where you can meet retired racehorses!
