Originally built to stable horses belonging to the owners of Palace House, the John Lambton Rooms – formerly known as ‘The Mews’ – offer an attractive space for Christmas parties, celebrations and private dining.

We will work with you to accommodate your guests and ensure your event runs smoothly and that everyone has a fantastic time!

Facilities include a private kitchen and state-of-the-art AV system, plus self-contained cloakroom facilities. Tables and seating can be configured to your requirements.

We are run as a charitable trust and proudly celebrate Newmarket’s status as the historic home of horseracing.

The National Horseracing Museum is supported by Arts Council England, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, West Suffolk Council, Suffolk County Council, and the racing industry (including Arena Racing Company, the Jockey Club, the Racing Foundation, Tattersalls and Weatherbys), as well as many private trusts, foundations and individuals from the racing world and beyond.
