Capturing the Lifeblood of Racing – Timed Online Auction of Jayne Odell FRPS Photography

This event has closed.

This is your opportunity to own an original photograph by Jayne Odell FRPS!

The National Horseracing Museum is holding an online auction of the images currently on display at the museum, in the ‘Time & Motion: Capturing the Lifeblood of a Racing Yard’ exhibition. These stunning black and white images are being auctioned to support the work of and to raise funds for the National Horseracing Museum, Injured Jockey Fund and Racing Welfare. The timed online auction is being facilitated by Colchester-based auctioneers and valuers Reeman Dansie, to whom we are extremely grateful.

In this, her first exhibition for the National Horseracing Museum, Jayne has perfectly captured the atmosphere and emotion of moments rarely seen by those outside racing and her images show the diversity, talent and dedication of those working ‘behind-the-scenes’ in racing. Jayne’s passion for equine photography developed after moving to Newmarket in 2016, and her work conveys the unique rhythm of a town devoted to horseracing and shows careful consideration of balance and composition. She captures beautiful images of thoroughbreds in training as well as the landscape and kinfolk of Newmarket. Jayne became a Fellow of The Royal Photographic Society in 2020 and is now an Assessment Panel Member.

If you would like to own a piece of the exhibition, bids start from as little as £50 and the auction closes at 9pm on Sunday, 4th December.
