Creative Halloween Half Term

Halloween half term is almost here!

Join us for a week of drop-in family-friendly creative Art Cart activities and artist-led workshops over the October half-term.

This is a great opportunity to get stuck into the Art Cart and craft some fantastically spooky decorations and Halloween keepsakes!

Our activities run from Tuesday 25th – Friday 28th October 2022, from 11am -3pm. Below is an overview of what we’ve got lined up for you this half term:

Tuesday 25th October: ‘Let’s Create Art’ make and create in clay with artist Ali Atkins in Palace House. From 11am – 3pm
- The workshop is free and open to all aimed at all ages. Picnic lunches will be available for children aged 5 – 16 in receipt of free school meals
Wednesday 26th October: Art Cart activities in the Thompson Gallery
- Free with general museum admission
Thursday 27th October: Art Cart activities in the Thompson Gallery
- Free with general museum admission
Friday 28th October: ‘Let’s Create Art’ ‘New Beginnings Stories’ with artist Rose Feather in Palace House. From 11am – 3pm
- Work with picture book maker Rose Feather to write and illustrate your own story inspired by the horses who live at Rothschild Yard. Find out about retraining of horses after a life of racing, and create a story of your own about new beginnings and moments of change. Rose will share different ways to fold or sew a book, and support children and their big people to write and illustrate a story together
- The workshop is free and open to all aimed at all ages. Picnic lunches will be available for children aged 5 – 16 in receipt of free school meals

Cost of entry to Creative Halloween Half Term:

Entrance is included within the cost of general admission. Simply book as normal and turn up on the day.

Your general admission ticket gives you access to all areas including the National Horseracing Museum, Palace House and the Rothschild Yard, where you can meet retired racehorses!
