Easter Activities at the Museum

Get creative with our Easter crafts, taking place on Wednesday 3rd April and Wednesday 10th April.

The Holiday Activity & Food Fund Programme:

The National Horseracing Museum has teamed up with Suffolk County Council, West Suffolk Council and the Department for Education for 2024’s Holiday Activity and Food Fund Programme, also known as The HAF Programme.

If families attending our Easter programme of free creative activities are eligible for Free School Meals from our local area, picnic bag lunches from The Bakery in the King’s Yard for children and young people aged 5-16 are available to book in advance through the EEQU website here.

These picnic bag lunches are provided at no cost to recipients of Free School Meals.

What is The HAF Programme?

The HAF Programme supports children and families in the school holidays. Outside of term-time, the HAF Programme provides healthy food and enriching activities to free school meal eligible children in every local authority in England. The Programme has been significantly expanded for 2024 and the National Horseracing Museum is proud to be involved in the 2024 scheme. To find out more click here.

Why not also follow our Easter Bunny trail around the museum after your crafting sessions! The trail will be open from Sunday 31st March till Sunday 13th April.
