Household Cavalry Band Performance

Don’t miss the wonderful opportunity to be part of a very special evening at the National Horseracing Museum on Friday 14th July. The Household Cavalry Band, fresh from playing at the Coronation, are coming to Newmarket for one evening only.

They will be performing a mix of classics, regimental marches, trumpet calls, fanfares and big band hits that show why they are the largest State Ceremonial Band in the British Army.

Famous worldwide for both outstanding ceremonial pageantry and gallantry on the battlefield, members of The Household Cavalry will be performing a mix of resounding traditional and modern numbers. These well known pieces will certainly have you joining in as you watch these talented and entertaining professionals in their full regiment regalia.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to have a private viewing of The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment: The Coronation Year Exhibition with photographic artist Ripley. These large-scale photographic portraits of the Household Cavalry depict stunning imagery featuring soldiers from The Life Guards and the Blues and Royals mounted on their horses and posed on buildings throughout London. The exhibition runs from 8th to 30th July and more information can be found here.

Gates open at 6 pm where you can enjoy a glass of fizz as you gather in the Kings Yard at the National Horseracing Museum. There will be two musical sets performed with the opportunity to purchase further drinks if required at The Tack Room bar during the short interval. Viewing of the exhibition with Ripley will be available at the end of the musical performance.

Please note, The Tack Room will not be serving food that evening. This is an outdoor event, so please ensure you dress accordingly.
