Join us in the award-winning Tack Room on Saturday 18th February 2023 from 6pm for a Le Colture Prosecco Masterclass with Canapés, with Alberto Ruggeri from Corney & Barrow Wine Merchants.

Spaces are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis and are limited so book now to avoid disappointment. Tickets are £25 per person, which includes 5 different Prosecco wines and canapés. To book, you will need to liaise directly with Corney & Barrow on 01638 600000 or via email.

We will be tasting the following wines with Alberto’s expert knowledge alongside some delicious canapés from the Tack Room team:

There is the option for dinner, with a special menu, at the Tack Room after this event:

• To start:
  • Cured sardine. Brioche, anchovy mousse and cockles £9
  • Tomato consomme. Smoked tomato tartar, balsamic £8
• To follow:
  • Roasted lamp rump. Dauphinoise, cavolo nero, red wine jus £19.50
  • Butternut squash and feta pithivier. Endive, pickle shallots, cherry tomato salad, chimichurri dressing £17.50
• To finish:
  • Lemon tart. Meringue, lemon curd £7.50
  • Forest fruit parfait. Berry compote, almond crumb £7.50

About The Tack Room

The Tack Room restaurant features the best of British produce, showcasing seasonal and local produce wherever possible. It is accessible to all members of the public, not just National Horseracing Museum ticket holders, and can be accessed via the large gates on Palace Street. Inside seating accommodates up to 60 people, and during the summer months further tables are available in the beautiful King’s Yard, where Charles II’s horses were once stabled. The outdoor terrace and the backdrop of the King’s Yard provide the perfect space to dine alfresco whilst enjoying a great selection of wines and cocktails. The Tack Room gets its name from the original use of the building when Bruce Hobbs occupied it in the 1980s. Nods to this previous history are dotted around the restaurant, making for a wonderful setting in the heart of Newmarket.
