Only Heroes and Horses Book Signing with Natalie O’Rourke MBE

This event has closed.

We are delighted to welcome Natalie O’Rourke MBE to the National Horseracing Museum on Thursday 10th November between 12pm-2pm, where she will be on hand to sign copies of her book, Only Heroes and Horses.

Natalie O’Rourke MBE came to national attention in 2021 when she managed to raise over a million pounds to save her beloved Riding For Disabled stables from being sold off.

Only Heroes and Horses tells the story of how this inspirational woman came to Park Lane Stables in Teddington, how she turned one of London’s last remaining urban stables into an asset for the community based on her feelings that horses should be for all,  and how that community – and the wider country – rallied at her most desperate hour of need.

As well as telling this wonderful story of hope, adversity and ultimately triumph, Only Heroes and Horses has inspired some beautiful illustrations by local artist Joy Cuff, such as the painting of ‘The Cuddle Horse’ as seen above.

“This outstanding book reads less like a memoir and more of a near 300-page source of inspiration, showing dreams can still come true.” – The Racing Post
