‘Little Horseshoes’ Pre-School Creative Play Sessions

Come along to one of our ‘Little Horseshoes’ creative play sessions for pre-school children at the museum.

Usually running during term times on the second Friday of the month but starting, these sessions are designed for pre-school children aged between 18 months – 4 years old.

Forthcoming dates are: 15th May, 12th June, 10th July 2026.

Our creative play sessions, designed by an Early Years Lead educate and entertain! You can have fun exploring the galleries together, discovering objects, listening to stories and rhymes inspired by our collections and make and create something to take home.

Places are free for pre-school children but limited to 15 children per session with a paying adult or museum pass holder.

Please note: There is one session on the day at 11am. Please specify the date and session when booking. If your preferred session is booked, we can add you to the waiting list for cancellations, just let us know via email whether you would like to be added to this.

Please note:

• Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the session
• Please arrive 5 minutes before the start of the session
• Advance booking is essential
• If bookings exceed available spaces, we will endeavour to run additional sessions on the same dates – we will advise on email once you have registered your interest
