Taste Ramadan 2025

Following on from last year’s successful event, Newmarket’s Islamic Centre is joining up with the National Horseracing Museum to host a Taste Ramadan event.

This is an event for the whole community to come together and to learn about Muslim traditions and share in some fantastic food from local restaurants, including Montaz.

2025 is the sixth year of Taste Ramadan, a nationwide initiative where Muslim organisations, mosques and community hubs across the UK open their doors to invite people from all walks of life, of all faiths and none, to Taste Ramadan; to share food and share friendship.

Newmarket Islamic Centre’s Imam, Hassan Mohammed explains ‘Ramadan is a special time for us all to appreciate all the blessings god has given us. When a person refrains from simple needs like food and water he truly emphasises with those less fortunate. Taste Ramadan brings communities together from all over to share this experience.’

Creative Programme Manager, Sarah Coleman said ‘We are delighted to be able to be part of community Eid celebrations through co-hosting this lovely event again this year. Everyone is welcome.’
