Time & Motion: Meet Jayne Odell FRPS

This event has closed.

This is an exclusive opportunity for you to meet Jayne Odell FRPS – the artist behind the popular exhibition Time & Motion: Capturing the Lifeblood of a Racing Yard.

Jayne became a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in 2020 and is now an Assessment Panel Member and we are delighted to give you the chance to meet her in person. You’ll be able to ask questions about the exhibition and Jayne’s remarkable journey and find out what inspired Jayne to create this exhibition – her first for the National Horseracing Museum.

The exhibition itself conveys the unique rhythm of a town devoted to horse racing as Jayne captures beautiful images of thoroughbreds in training as well as the landscape and kinfolk of Newmarket. Jayne captures the atmosphere and emotion of moments rarely seen by those outside racing and her images show the diversity, talent and dedication of those working ‘behind-the-scenes’ in racing.

There are two dates for your diary:

Thursday 20th October

  • Lunchtime Talk, 12pm
  • Join us for a lunchtime talk in which you can discover Jayne’s practice, the work involved in capturing moments rarely seen by those outside of racing and hear what inspired the well-received exhibition Time & Motion: Capturing the Lifeblood of a Racing Yard

Saturday 19th November

  • Meet & Greet, 11am – 12pm
  • An opportunity to meet and chat with Jayne in the Moller Gallery and explore her ground-breaking photography exhibition. Jayne will be on hand to answer any questions you might have. Drop in anytime between 11am and 12pm
