We aim to offer a range of volunteering opportunities and to match people to tasks that take into account their skills and interests.

Volunteer roles can be regular, short-term or occasional, depending on how much time you have to spare.

Volunteer Host – Art Gallery

Museum Galleries

We are looking for a team of Volunteer Hosts to welcome visitors to the National Horseracing Museum and to provide information and assistance as needed.

This role will be based inside Palace House, the home of the British Sporting Art Trust.

Volunteer Host – Meet & Greet (Atrium)

Meet & Greet

We are looking to expand our team of Volunteer Hosts who welcome visitors to NHRM and provide information and assistance as needed.

This role is focused at the entrance to the museum, just off Palace Street.

Equine Volunteers

Horses

We are looking for a team of Equine Volunteers to support staff to care for our resident horses and to engage visitors.

This opportunity is available on a weekly basis. This role consists of slots at approximately 10:30am – 12:30pm and/or approximately 2pm–4pm.

Shop Volunteer: Second-Hand Bookshop

Gift Shop

We are looking for shop volunteers to welcome visitors to the unique second-hand bookshop at NHRM and to provide information and assistance as needed.

This role is based in the Gift Shop.

This role is focused in the King’s Yard.
