Black & White Productions Present ‘The Muse of Newmarket’, a Restoration Play by Suzanne Hawkes
England has been under severe restrictions for 16 years – with entertainment banned by Cromwell’s Puritans and the theatre driven underground. Now with the monarchy restored King Charles II revives leisure pursuits – and where better to start than the home of the sport of kings. But can The Players step up to the mark? And can bitter divides be forgotten in the face of a new dawn?
Join us in Palace House Garden* for a matinee celebrating the theatre of the restoration period. There will be a bar available for soft and alcoholic drinks.
