Mud, Sweat and Tears: A history of Jump Racing

This exhibition explores the excitement and unpredictability of Jump Racing from its 18th century origins in Ireland to the modern day. Highlights include iconic items relating to the Cheltenham Gold Cup, the Grand National and much-loved horses such as Red Rum. Visitors will also be able to enjoy an immersive experience recreating the sounds and excitement of Golden Miller’s Grand National win in 1934.

Admission to the exhibition is included in general admission, giving you access to all areas including the National Horse Racing Museum, Palace House, and the Rothschild Yard where you can meet ex-racehorses! To buy your ticket, click here. You can choose the date you’d like to attend when you get through to the payment page. If you are an Annual Pass holder, please come to the shop when you arrive so we can scan your ticket and give you a badge for the day.

Make a day of it by pre-ordering a picnic from The Bakery to enjoy in our beautiful grounds, or book a table for lunch at The Tack Room restaurant.

You can upgrade your ticket to an Annual Pass for free. The Annual Pass will be dated from the day of your first visit to the museum and will be valid for 12 months from that date.

Exhibition runs from 10th July – 5th December.
