Join us this summer for a series of exciting creative workshops at the National Horseracing Museum. Taking place every Wednesday throughout the school holidays in our Alborada Studio, these hands-on sessions offer families the chance to get creative, learn new skills and take home their own equine-inspired creations.
All activities are included with general admission and there is no need to book.
Wednesday 22 July – Sock Hobby Horses
Make and create your very own sock hobby horse with Newmarket Community Arts. All materials are provided, but if you have a special sock you’d like to use, feel free to bring it along. Book Here.
Wednesday 29 July – Creative Clay
Get hands-on with clay and create your own equine-themed mini sculptures and reliefs. All materials included. Book Here.
Wednesday 5 August – Screen Printed T-Shirts
Join textile artist Ricki Oultis and learn how to create a screen-printed t-shirt using your own design. All materials are provided. Book Here.
Wednesday 12 August – Print Perfect Ponies
Create colourful horse-themed prints using gelli plates, paint and plenty of imagination. All materials included. Book Here.
Wednesday 19 August – Horses and Mosaics
Work with equine artist Nichola Eddery to create a colourful horse-themed mosaic coaster to take home. All materials are provided. Book Here.
Wednesday 26 August –3D Graffiti Horses
Discover the world of street art with artist Kev Parker and create a three-dimensional horse head using spray paints. All materials included. Book Here.

Alongside our Creative Summer Holiday Sessions, visitors can explore the museum galleries, meet our retired racehorses, enjoy family-friendly activities across the site and experience our interactive Jockey’s Journey exhibition.
